The Bauer Vapor line of skates offer quickness and flexibility while meeting the brand's reputation for comfort and protection. Vapor incorporates breathable, moisture-wicking materials into the boot. Design elements such as a padded cuff and customizable toe protection serve to withstand even the most intense level of play. With an aggressive boot design allowing for longer strides and a greater range of motion, the Vapor skates allow for dynamic motion for the fastest players in the fastest sport.
[Boot Structure]
The X-Rib technology simultaneously makes the skate lighter while creating a stiffer boot. The 3D lasted Curv technology is in place to make sure that the skate bends 360° around the foot. The uniquely slim heel provides stability in every stride while the adjustable toe contributes to a more comfortable glide. Four holes at the bottom of the skate provide airflow throughout the boot. A stiff tendon guard, coupled with the ability to heat mold the boot, help with quick crossovers.
[Interior Liner]
The new water resistant Hydra Max 2 interior not only keeps the inside dry, but also has a soft interior with added ankle padding for comfort. Stiffer boots will provide a faster response for quick turns and extend the overall life of the skate.
[Power Bar Lacing System]
The new system seeks to prevent lace-bite by keeping laces flat while extending life expectancy of the boot. This reinforced piece is where the holes in which the laces will pass through. The power bar provides the same amount of bend, but require 33% less effort.
[Tongue Construction]
Each part of the 52 oz. tongue is manufactured for specific purpose. The lower portion is designed for a more comfortable fit. The top will have thicker felt to help avoid lace-bite and include the new metatarsal guard for added protection.
[Runner & Holder]
This holder includes new trigger technology and fusion steel is 3mm taller than the previous, Lightspeed 2. Players can also replace broken steel by holding the trigger to release the old steel and simply pressing the replacement in its place. The Lightspeed Edge Fusion runner will create a shorter turning radius for quick maneuvers.
